About GrowingHQ

GrowingHQ is a structured reference for growing plants. The unit of the catalogue is a plant record, not an article: light, temperature, spacing, rooting depth, timing and growing-method suitability are separate fields, each carrying its own provenance. The pages are views over that data, which is why the catalogue can be filtered, compared and resolved against a climate rather than only read.

The question it is built to answer is: what can grow here, when, how, why is this one failing, and what should I do next. Everything in the architecture serves that.

GrowingHQ is a permanent, continuously expanding platform rather than a project with a completion date. It holds 223 plants today — vegetables and herbs — and the model already handles fruit, houseplants, ornamentals, soil, propagation and controlled-environment growing, none of which is populated.

The development model is deliberate: build a substantial useful batch, certify it, release it, continue the next batch locally, enrich the imagery and the evidence, release again. Launch is a step in that loop, not the end of it. The coverage page is where the gaps live, and it is meant to stay long.

It is not a gardening blog, and it does not aim to be inspiring. It does not have thousands of pages — a structured catalogue could generate them in an afternoon and almost all would be thin, so intersections are governed rather than generated. It does not tell anyone what to spray. And it does not fill gaps with plausible-sounding text: a field with no reliable answer is recorded as unknown and rendered as nothing.
